Personality-
A former wanderer with no desire to compromise, Finn is above all else hard-headed and dedicated. Once she gets an idea in her head, there's no stopping her; even if she has to try time and again, the hot-blooded woman will accomplish what she set out for. The smith tends to remain rather pleasant and friendly while doing business, but she maintains a safe distance emotionally, oftimes coming off as closed-off and hardened when she finds herself becoming close to someone. Her regular customers learn to see through her sarcasm to the protective worrier she tries not to be. Finn may seem to be actively avoiding trust and friendship with most people, but there are a few types of personalities that she can't stand anyway. Vain and proud people anger her, and she won't sell to womanizers, manipulative people, or those who publicly torment others. Not one for drink or wasting time, the woman spends most of her time working, and when she does pause it's to grab an easy to eat snack or head out to find more materials. Her best friend is her battle hammer, which she uses both to mine for ore and forge her wares and orders. If in a hostile situation, she wouldn't hesitate to wield the tool.

History-
Villia, a town bordering both a prosperous city and a monster-infested series of gem-rich caves, was a town where humans and elves lived in relative peace. Finn (born Feria Lisabeth) was an unexpected birth, her gestation closely following a miscarriage that had left her mother, Rial, sickly and bedridden. With her father Karu, a patrol officer and guard, constantly out for work, the girl was practically raised by her brother, Daryn, who was older by five years. The two shared heterochromia and the ability to use fire magic, and though at times they were teased or ridiculed, the siblings stood together against any trouble. Daryn and Finn agreed that they would master fire enchantment and use their magic to benifit the town. Her brother wanted to join the Villia Guard with their father, who would insist that they not fear for the fate of an enemy. When he brought men to be buried, Karu reminded his children that for the good of the town and its people, those who killed and betrayed had to be removed from the world.

Lily, the youngest of the house, was an Earthmate adopted into the family after a raid on the city neighboring Villia had resulted in the deaths of the girl's parents. Finn, who was six when the infant was brought into the home, embraced the idea of having a younger sister and soon took on the role of sibling and protector. Ten years later, Lily and Finn were nearly inseperable. As the older sister, Finn doted on her adopted sibling, and Lily refused to go anywhere without her big sister. A long drought left the town infertile, and commerce slowed for long months and Finn, who'd intended to farm in the public gardens, took up carpentry to make ends meet at home. A few of the more superstitious and intolerant villagers were unaccepting of Lily's presence, blaming the Earthmate's abilities for the misfortunes the town had suffered in recent years. While Finn would argue vehemently against any accusations, her brother avoided the conflicts and let the people say whatever they liked. This led to a rift between the siblings that went unpatched as Daryn began to turn his interest toward a girl from the city and away from his sisters. The girl was angry that the boy who'd touted their own magic as useful and safe wasn't doing the same for Lily, but she left him be as he seemed to be bothered by the attention his sister was giving him. She supposed that after sixteen years of raising Finn, he didn't want to have to do the same for Lily when he had his own life to live.

On Finn's sixteenth birthday, her boss and teacher at the shop she worked in gave her the battle hammer she cherishes, explaining that while she certainly had the right spirit for the line of work, she was more cut out for fighting monsters like her father than building. This wasn't out of left field; still unable to control her magic, the dedicated teen had managed to burn down or otherwise damage three houses in the building process over the past two months. With her brother set to be married and her mother's health failing, Finn needed work, and she found a niche in the town guard just as her former teacher had suggested. After swearing fealty to the town and swearing to protect its inhabitants, the girl felt that she could end any hostility toward her sister. Daryn moved out soon after Finn's acceptance into the guard, heading to Gale City to live with his fiancee and abandoning his place in the village guard. This left eleven year old Lily to watch over their mother, and though the girl was more sensitive and frail than her sister, she managed well.
Over the next three years, the town suffered more misfortune as wells ran dry and monsters began to lash out at the limits of the civilzation. All the while, Rial's health was steadily improving under Lily's care. The young girl's tormentors grew more bold as time wore on, and Finn more often found herself fighting with people her own age than defending against monsters. Even so, the family became more financially secure despite the coming and going of many neighbors as Finn and her father's income stretched to cover the family of four's expenses. When Rial was once again able to walk around safely, Karu began to take her out around the town and sometimes into the city. People whispered that she'd been healed through the slow ruin of the village, and that the Earthmate her home had taken in was to blame for the recent assaults made by monsters.

With a sixteen year old Lily watching the house, Finn was spending the night of her nineteenth birthday on patrol with a few other guards near the Lapis caves. As she was repairing a break in her armor, one of her companions was knocked off his feet by an all-too-familiar flame blast; it was the starting shot of a long fight against a party of Hunter Orc and Minotaur. Emerging from the pack of monsters that had never launched an attack on the town before were three hooded figures; two appeared to be human, and the third an elf. Finn and her companions rushed into battle with their Tamitaya weapons against the monsters, but were hesitant to fight the humans even as the leader of the group lashed out with fire and blade. Finally, after her superior was struck down by the hooded elf who demanded 'the Earthmate girl be cast into the company of her own kind' and sent to the monster-ridden Lapis caves, Finn raised her hammer in her sister's defense. Her opponent had the advantage in speed, but his shine blade didn't have the same determined force behind it as Finn's battle hammer.

As they struggled against one another, their comrades fought as well, and it became increasingly apparent that the elf knew the kind of training Finn had received. At this point it was a fight for their lives as both battled fiercely with fire and weapon. Though she sustained a serious wound on her left shoulder and eye in the process, the girl was able to send the man to the ground with a blow to his legs and turn his shine blade on him. Dealing a finishing  blow, Finn halfheartedly recited her father's mantra; "Those who kill and betray must be removed from this world."  With his own sword through his chest, he still managed to hiss a question. "What happened to the good of the town, Fer?"  The venom in his voice startled her, and she forced the elf's hood off to see Daryn glaring up at her.  He was dying, and even if she halted the bleeding by cauterizing the wound, it was too late to save him. Daryn's breaths ceased, but his hateful stare was fixed on his sister, even in death. This wasn't the loving brother who'd taken care of her when she was young- but they still shared blood. She closed his eyes and covered his face with his hood before anyone saw who it was who'd led the attack. It was with a heavy heart that the girl dove back into the fray against the other two men and monsters.

Once the fight was over, the wounded elf snatched up her broken armor and her brother's blade, telling her comrades to get to the clinic in town and that she'd fetch a cart to haul the bodies, including two of their own fallen, to be buried. Finn did get the cart, but as she piled the corpses on it, the girl shattered her armor and swapped the right side for the hooded cloak her brother was wearing. Trussed up in a few pieces of armor borrowed from the dead, Daryn did look as though he'd died fighting for Villia. With a sigh, Finn left the cart, her brother, and her heart at the site of the confrontation, walking in the shadows toward the city with a bundle of clothing that could be confused for a body slung over her shoulder. Bleeding and disillusioned, the girl traveled in the cover of darkness, not daring to tell her family that she was going for fear she wouldn't be able to part from them. For a long time she fretted about whether to contact Lily, but Finn felt she couldn't face her with the truth that their brother had betrayed her and died by her own hand. She would let her sister believe that Daryn had fought valiantly to protect her, and though she herself had to face what she'd done, at least her family would never have to know.

Donning her brother's cloak over her partial cuirass and cape, Finn engaged one of the soldiers from the city limits in a short tussle that left neither side wounded further but her opponent with a story about a hooded, fire-elemental elf with a shine blade stealing away in the dead of night carrying something or someone over his shoulder. She could only hope his tale would spread and lead to a belief that the leader of the assault had escaped death. It would explain her disappearance, as hers was the only body missing from the guard's count or the cart of dead, and if it grieved her family at least they would be proud of the paths their children had taken.

Five years passed, and the young woman who'd run as a self-made villain that night became a talented traveling smith under the intruction of several teachers. Across Norad she crafted jewelry, shields, weapons and armor that garnered praise and a wage. Despite her success, she'd never found a place to settle in and was still haunted by her memory. Finn modified the half-cuirass and scaled cape she'd salvaged from her Villia Guard armor, making a protective piece that would hide the scars from the shine blade she carried on her back without giving her the appearance of a guard or knight. She came across the letter from Elden and Gieria islands, crumpled beneath her step in the street, one night in Kardia. The islands sounded perfect for the blacksmith who wanted to make a new life, and she gathered maps and information until she discovered how to find them. With a lighter heart than she'd had in five years, the sisterly elf set sail for Elden island, bringing her skills and tools along and leaving behind her name.

Additional Information-
Finn's left eye is jade green and her left pale blue. Her brother's were the opposite, but both were born with their father's red hair.
She's allergic to shrimp and can't stand most seafood dishes.
She keeps the shine blade Daryn fought with, but never uses it. The sword is displayed on the wall behind the counter of her shop.
The black apron she wears tied at her waist is made of the same leathery cloth as her smelting gloves. Finn rarely takes the gloves off, but doesn't wear the stained, dusty apron while spelunking or out shopping.
Finn used to wear an eyepatch on her left eye, but decided she needed her depth perception more than she wanted to hide that scar.
