Personality:
- Softspoken: Angelo doesn't tend to approach people or start conversations. He's a good listener, and likes to hear about others' lives. He's a bit secretive about his own, but only if you pry too deeply.
- Protected: (See history) Angel's home life was never perfect, and he became anxious as he grew older. He's afraid to be hated or hurt again, and will become close to the few who he believes genuinely care.
- Kindhearted: The guest likes to spend his free time at the Host Club so he doesn't have to be alone. He often brings homemade cookies or small gifts with him to 'thank the club for tolerating him.
- Bashful/Awkward: When he likes someone, it's painfully obvious, but he won't admit it to them for fear of rejection. He tends to tone down everything to try and hide any romantic interest that could impede on his friendships.

History:
   The youngest of his family, Angelo was always a strange child. In school he was bright, but quiet and timid. He refused to take part in extracurricular activities, have friends over or call anyone his friends at all. The Absol often missed days or came in ill-fitting, layered clothing. As he reached his last year of elementary school,  the quiet, sullen days increased and he withdrew even more, eventually missing so many classes that his grades fell sharply.

After Angel showed up to class with a black eye and a broken wrist, concerned teachers took matters into their own hands and made a call to child services. It was found that his mother, a single parent and former drug addict, had been physically and mentally abusing him and his older sisters since his father left when he was 4. Following a long trial, she was eventually convicted and sentenced, sending the three children into different foster homes.

Throughout middle school Angel was passed between homes, some better than others. He never got too attached to any after the first two families, and remained as introverted as before. The Absol had begun self-harming, but always hid it from others. He wasn't reaching out or looking for attention; he'd had enough bad attention to last a lifetime. Angel liked to watch the wounds he made heal, as it gave him hope that he could recover from his mother's influence as well. For a while he was in an abusive relationship with an older boy who he thought cared enough to protect him, but Angelo left after he threatened his life.

After he'd completed a year of high school with mediocre grades, no friends, and a foster family as dysfunctional as his own, Angelo felt trapped in a cycle. This escalated his depression and anxiety, and as a result he attempted suicide. He was saved, and doesn't talk about the incident or why it happened.  Soon after he was discharged from the hospital, Angel was taken in and officially adopted by a couple whose own son committed suicide 10 years before.

The new home and obvious care didn't make him open up, but he was genuinely happy. After working on his grades, Angelo was transferred to Ouran Academy by his new parents, who lived only an hour from the school. He remained withdrawn and quiet, but started to cut less and less often, quickly becoming accustomed to a life with less fear. Social anxiety kept him from pursuing relationships or extracurriculars for a while, but he was intrigued when he saw the Host Club having an event. The Absol has a bit of an inferiority complex and didn't think himself good enough to join the club as a host, so he became a regular guest.
